Okay, now that that's out of the way, let's get into some unique qualities that show up in my books that you love to get lost in!
Quality #1
One thing I pride myself on is my mission as an author. To bring fiction novels to women of color where they see themselves represented in the main character of the story. In the majority of the books I have written (all but Jordan Romano: Prequel) all the main characters are women of color. Jelena Cohert is a Puerto Rican FBI Agent who has been married twice and falls in love with a werewolf after being kidnapped by a serial killer. Lanelle Sparks is a black teenaged girl whose life is turned upside down when her parents tell her she will be going to boarding school for high school. Oh yeah, she is also a spy and has magical power!

The stories and experience I bring to my readers are authentic without focusing on trauma or ethnicities. Everyone goes through their own trauma, and so do my characters. However, the story is presented in a such a way that it doesn't concentrate on the trauma and pain of the people of color's background. My stories are enjoyable and you feel a connection with the characters. You can relate to their nuances, cultural aspects, and gender aspects but the story itself is about them just living life and trying to get through it in one piece.
